Dan: Is there going to be a prelude to the April time-frame?
66:00 Ron: Many things start after April…the primary things that people desire to see on a physical plain begins sometime after April.
Ian: How do we know that if you’re being an end-time witness is not a great deception?
Ron: You will have to wait. There will not be any proof until 2008 in April.
What a contradiction, in one part of the interview, Weinland implies that there is going to be physical events that would provide us with evidence which supports that he is a true prophet of God, but later says that any physical tribulation [which would be evidence] would occur after April. Is this May, 2008, June, July, 2009 or the following year in July, 2010! Let’s make up our mind, Ron!
52:51: The second email references p. 23 of Weinland’s book 2008 God’s Final Witness and addresses the part about the opening of the 7th seal and “the world will be in shock and in horror.” Weinland addresses this question by stating that some of the content in the book was written “prophetically” and would be answered in time. He wants to make something very clear that “…there are no contradictions in the book.” God inspired this book and there are no contradictions in this book.
Ron, what about those contradictions…we need PROOF!
Weinland curses his “critics” with “death” for questioning his credibility and truthfulness. Here is an excerpt from Weinland’s sermon, “Three More Weeks”
116:24: Weinland says were to be true to our word, because it is right before God. Weinland states that it all comes down to being either a false prophet or a true prophet. “What if, what if…comes April 17, my life changes dramatically one way or the other because it’s all in. Are we holding back? Are we all running, yet? So what are you going to do some of you who are skeptics and critics and you see these things come to pass? I will tell you what you will do as a whole, you will lie, you will twist, you will distort and you will die – speedily.
Weinland has stated several times in his past sermons that the 2 witnesses do not need to preach in Jerusalem, but this is contrary to Revelation 11:2, where it states the 2 witnesses will be preaching and “treading” the streets of Jerusalem for 42 months. Weinland has claimed that there is not scriptural reasoning to be there for the entire 3 and one-half years. I beg to differ. Oh, that’s the “critic” in me.
On Edge Radio, Weinland announces that he will not be in Jerusalem and is not planning to go to Jerusalem any time soon. Here is the excerpt from the radio show.
71:09-72:43: Dan: Will you be called to Jerusalem in 2008?
Ron: No, a lot of people get upset with me…because I am not dressed in sack cloth…this is spiritual, sack cloth represents humility…Some believe the 2 witness have to be there for 3 and one-half years. That’s not true and the bible says that they die in the streets of Jerusalem 3 and one-half days before Jesus Christ returns. So I know what my end is…I don’t have to be there, until that day.
On the other hand, in his infamous sermon for the critics on March 29, 08, he announced the departure of himself and his wife and fellow entourage to Jerusalem for the sounding of the 1st Trumpet on April 17, 2008. It is while they are in Jerusalem that Ronald and the 2nd witness (that he hasn’t named, yet) will be announced to the world. It has been speculated for many months now that the 2nd witness is none other than his Wife. Are we correct in our assumptions, time will tell, but he did give us something to ponder in the following excerpt from his sermon, Three More Weeks.
49:58:Weinland states that he will be starting his role as one of the two witnesses in Jerusalem. On April 17th, Weinland, his wife, and the Mr. and Mrs. Harrell will be together in Jerusalem for the sounding of the 1st Trumpet. [Weinland stated in an earlier sermon of last year that the 2 witnesses do not need to be in Jerusalem before their death in September 2011. He changed his mind or read and heeded the advice of his critics who pointed that the 2 witnesses are to prophesize in Jerusalem (Revelation 11:2). The question is will Weinland stay in Jerusalem for the entire 42 month as required.]
Consequently, on a rather serious note, Weinland leaves his listening audience with these words about his future, if he is founded to be a “False Prophet,” which at this time he refutes the idea and has total “resolve” that he is, indeed, God’s true prophet and everything that God inspired him to write in his books will come to pass. But, just in case it doesn’t pan out the way Ron believes that it will, he leaves us with this excerpt:
If by Pentecost, I want to make this real clear to everyone…If by Pentecost it is not powerfully and abundantly clear that there has been a great deal of destruction that will clearly encompass a third of all plant life in the US and at least a clear results of this “mingled with blood” the death of very much animal life and the beginning of large numbers in human life, then I will stop preaching. Just so all the critics and everyone out there will understand, I am true to my word in these things. For all the critics,if by the end of July and most likely around Pentecost, if nothing has clearly caused great destruction and death; I will make it very clear that I was a false prophet.
Finally, Weinland amuses himself by giving clear WARNING to all of his CRITICS [a little Armstrong humor] that if everything that he has written does come to pass, and he is indeed given the role of one of the 2 witnesses, then his words are going to carry much GREATER WEIGHT.
Here is what Weinland states to his “Critics,” 120:02: Weinland chastises the critics by saying, “God mocks you critics. God mocks those of you who twist and distort what is true. God will mock your life and what’s going to happen in your life and its going to happen swiftly upon you. Thank God, because your mouths and your attitudes need to come to an end and you’re going to find out that God is not playing games. After April 17, I would fear to be in any of your shoes, truly, truly, truly! …what I say after that day carries a lot more weight.”
Weinland’s most famous quote:
21:30:Weinland stated that we do not announce the specific location of services, but only the city where there taking place, because there are “…a lot of crackpots out there…on the internet…I am talking to some of you crackpots…there are sick, sick people out there…If you don’t agree with something, get a LIFE…How can you feast on this?”
Ron we simply want the truth on whether or not your a TRUE PROPHET. Unfortunately, you are changing your dates for when the world will see clear, indisputable physical evidence which supports your position to be a true prophet. We are still waiting for the evidence. Go Back
Here is a reprint of a response that I wrote on Ironwolf.
Renton,
You discussed the following:
“I will just admire how even Ron Weinland’s followers are not above condemning skeptics to the lake of fire; I thought this was God’s job.”
“I’m not his follower. However, I think he makes a lot of sense. God will judge everyone, and those not found in the book of life will burn in the Lake of Fire. It’s there in Revelation for all to see. My point is simply this; IF Mr. Weinland truly IS God’s witness, and you reject him, chances are you’ll get a one-way ticket to the Lake of Fire express. Go read Revelation for yourself.”
I do not believe Ron Weinland is personally condemning anyone to the “lake of fire.” That is God’s job, not Weinland’s. If Weinland is a true witness of God and condemns his critics to death, then God must O.K. the deaths. Again, this is not up to Weinland, but God. A little over a year ago (December: Sermon 2006), Weinland petitioned God to start sounding the “Thunders.” God remained silent and did not allow the “Thunders” to begin, thus did not answer Weinland. If God does grant Weinland petition to put his “critics” to death, then we should only be dead for 1000 years, and then given a period of 100 years, to learn about God’s true ways. After the 100 years is up, we should be able to decide whether we reject or accept God’s beliefs.
I have always asked the question of why we can’t be free thinkers. If anyone gets to this point, why would anyone reject God or be in opposition towards him. We would know he exist and we would follow his rules and/or beliefs, because like the angels who did not rebel, they also had to make a decision of compliance and obedience. If they chose another path of their own thinking, then they would eventually be placed in a “lake of fire” or place of eternal confinement away from their creator.
I believe Weinland states that this is “The Great White Throne Judgment period” and this last for 100 years. According to Weinland, “everyone who has ever lived and died” will be resurrected at the beginning of this period and at the end of this period of time, God will have “Final Judgment.” This final judgment contains “the lake of fire” but this is “spiritual,” not physical for Satan and his angelic realm. God will place Satan and his demons in a place of confinement permanently, and they will never have any further contact with their creator. On the other hand, Weinland claims that his God will lay down “final judgment” for man.
Since, man was resurrected physical a 2nd time; he still remains a physical being, not a spiritual being. Thus, man can die a 2nd physical death and cease to exist, because God does not grant eternal life to everyone. Weinland describes this as “eternal punishment” because God decision is forever. There are some that will reject God and there “heart, mind, and attitude” will not reflect the values of the Creator. Thus, God does not grant the “gift of eternal life.” Again, God makes the decision to grant eternal life, not Weinland.
As per your statement that, if “Mr. Weinland truly IS God’s witness, and you reject him, chances are you’ll get a one-way ticket to the Lake of Fire express. Go read Revelation for yourself.” If God grants Weinland petition, then we would die, but have we really rejected him. We do not even know God. How can we reject something that we don’t know? I don’t believe that we commit the “unpardonable sin” as Armstrong and Weinland have taught, if we are “critics” of Weinland. Scripture also tells us to “test” those who prophesize in God’s name. How else can you “test” a true prophet, unless you ask questions and “tests” the prophets words and actions? The way I have read scripture is that Christ and God expected us to be “critics” because there would be many who prophesized in God’s name, but would be false.
Then again, the skeptic in me tells me, that the “literal words of the scriptures and their meanings” have been distorted in some manner long ago, when the scribes did various transcriptions of all of the ancient scriptural texts in the first few centuries after Christ died. There were numerous errors that were made as these scriptures were copied year after year. Humans are not perfect in transcribing written materials. These texts were copied letter by letter and there were textual errors. Can we strongly and convincingly say that we have the intended meaning of those human authors who wrote the scriptures that we have today? There is much “textual criticism” over ancient and early New Testament texts.
Mr. Weinland says in at least one radio interview that he DOES NOT BELIEVE that GOD will send people to Hell as the place for unbelievers and the unrepentant will go. HE CANNOT FATHOM GOD to be capable of eternal punishments. He believes MAN SIMPLY DIES AND GOES TO THE GRAVE!! He evidently does not know the true character of the Living and True God, Whose justice is beyond our understanding. God Who opened the earth to swallow Korah and his family for coveting the position of the priests. Mr. W contradicts a LOT of words Jesus spoke on Hell, as well as the torment of “the rich man” who asked for a drop of water from Lazarus (the poor man). Throughout the New Test. God speaks clearly of weeping and gnashing of teeth; of being thrown into hellfire and brimstone along with the devil and demons. I would have been rejoicing in Mr. W’s humble approach, but this alone disproves his claims. BEWARE: Mat 24:24 “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and SHALL SHOW GREAT SIGNS and wonders; insomuch that, if possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” 2THESS. 2:9-10 “THE COMING OF THE LAWLESS ONE is according to the working of Satan, WITH ALL POWER, SIGNS, AND LYING WONDERS, AND WITH ALL UNRIGHTEOUS DECEPTION AMONG THOSE WHO PERISH, BECAUSE THEY DID NOT BELIEVE THE LOVE OF THE TRUTH, that they might be saved.” In the event ’signs and wonders’ begin we must be aware that God does not contradict Himself. Jesus warned us of those who will be used of the devil to deceive with powers. Keep your eyes on Jesus ALONE.
Ron Weinland is simply a false prophet…..and delusional.
